Modding Contest Winner Overview

Mod Contest Winner Overview

The results of the Transport Fever 2 Modding Contest are in!
All winners in the three categories will be contacted through mod.io soon, and we are looking forward to welcoming the winners in the Vehicles and Buildings category to our office.

VEHICLES

Winner:
Our selection for the vehicles category is this magnificent Renfe 242F-2009 Confederation by Jorge-NB96. Not only is the model a terrific representation of this last-generation steam locomotive – which were Spain’s fastest – but the choices made in texture and colouring really set it apart. You can almost feel the oil and grime coming off it. Absolutely fantastic.

Second place:
In second place, for those who prefer their trains to be a little more up to date, we’re back in Spain again with the Stadler FLIRT 140/453 by Rodrigozamoranofenoy. This is an excellent representation of this modern marvel of commuter transport, complete with fully automated doors and ramps, decked out in modern day livery.

Third place:
In third place we took to the skies with DH-106’s Beechcraft 2000 Starship. While only a handful of these business aircraft were ever made, they’re ideal for flying your VIP passengers across your map.

BUILDINGS

Winner:
When selecting a winner for the buildings category we had a wide selection to choose from, but settled upon the Container Port by Maverick2002. As well as being fully animated – you can watch the loading and unloading of containers all day if the mood takes you – this port integrates a fully functional rail station and depot, helping you bring your freight right to the water’s edge. A really great mix of design and function, and a worthy winner.

Second place:
Second place in the buildings category goes to prolific scenery creator Ingo for the Observatorium. This highly customisable asset allows you to build your very own astronomy complex with a range of buildings, including an animated telescope dome and parabolic antenna.

Third place:
In third place we have the ideal building to make a statement in your city’s downtown business district: the New World Skyscraper by Nordor. This massive glass tower can be seen from a great distance and is sure to be the centre of attention no matter where you build it.

REPAINTS

Winner:
In the livery contest, our favourite is the Ford Model 77 Bakery Truck by 97Hummer. The clean design and striking cream and crimson colour choice here makes this a fantastic delivery vehicle that will bring a smile whenever you see it around town.

Second place:
In second place is the Bombardier TWINDEXX Railjet livery from SpaceMonkey41. Not only does this livery represent its real-world counterpart very well, complete with full iconographic detail, but the bright red that is the feature of the design really stands out when you see it in the world.

Third place:
The final winner in the contest is the BR 218 PULL variant by Chill_LP. The clever redesign of logos made this one stand out for us, and it’s great to see this classic diesel hauler getting a fresh coat of paint.
